The paraglider is a neat new tool in Dying Light 2. Here’s how to unlock it for yourself.

In what seems like a natural addition to the open world parkour style of Dying Light 2, the paraglider adds a whole new level of traversal to the game. Needless to say, it’ll quickly become one of your most useful tools, not only allowing you to get across the city quickly, but to also vent up and out of danger.

With such a large and perilous world to explore, you’re likely wondering how to ensure you get your hands on the paraglider as soon as possible.

Thankfully, the paraglider is unmissable – no matter how you play, as long as you progres through the main story you’ll unlock the paraglider.

The paraglider is given to you during the Main Quest “A Place to Call Home,” the first mission in Central Loop. Aiden is gifted the glider by Lawan upon reaching the rooftop, and shortly after she’ll dive off.

There’s a trick to using the paraglider, as deploying it too late could mean an early death. First, it’s best used when jumping off of high places. You’ll need enough wind to push you, which won’t be achieved from low spaces. You’ll also need to give yourself enough time to deploy it, otherwise you’ll get accustomed to the cold, hard ground real quick.

You’ll also need to keep an eye on your stamina bar as you use it. If that runs out, then you’ll fall and probably die. Keep an eye out for Air Vents as you traverse the city. Not only will you be able to take off from one, but if you fly over one whilst already using the glider, they’ll refill your stamina. They’re easy to spot as you’ll see a wave of air being shot out.
