- Stacking wagers can lead to larger payouts, if you hit each leg of your bet
- See the 25-1 same-game parlay we made for the Atlanta vs Miami below
Don’t mind us, we’re still basking in the glow of a killer 5-leg parlay for the Hornets vs Hawks Play-In game that paid out at 30-1 odds.
Let’s keep the momentum going in the NBA Playoffs, and Game 2 of the opening round series between the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat.
The Heat blasted the visitors in Game 1 to the tune of 115-91.
To no one’s surprise, the top-seed in the Eastern Conference are heavy favorites Tuesday night.
Hawks vs Heat Game 2 Odds
Team | Moneyline | Spread | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Atlanta Hawks | +245 | +7.5 (-105) | O 218.5 (-110) |
Miami Heat | -280 | -7.5 (+100) | U 218.5 (+100) |
All odds as of April 18th at DraftKings.
With Miami heavy -280 favorites on the moneyline, and pegged with a hefty 7.5-point spread, it’s not exactly appealing for a single-game wager.
Instead, with a little research, a single-game parlay (SGP) can provide way more value and a far greater payout than any single game wager can do for you — at a small investment, to boot.
We’ve combed through the player-prop market and found a nice combination that you may be interested in.
We’ll start with a definite bounce-back from Trae Young.

Hawks Props to Consider
Not exactly the ideal time to drop your worst statistical performance of the year, but that’s just what Young did against Miami’s supercharged defense.
He shot just 1-for-12 rom the field, missing all seven of his moneyball attempts, en route to a season-low eight points. Even worse, he committed six of Atlanta’s 18 turnovers.
I didn’t expect Trae Young getting the “Jordan Rules” treatment in 2022.

Young only had one game all season where he went for single digits, and he bounced back with 21 the next game. Considering Atlanta needs him to go close to bonkers to get a split, I like him going for 28 or more at plus odds.
Heat Props to Consider
The rest of the props are Heat-focused, and we’ll start with PJ Tucker, who went on a scoring bonanza Sunday — by his standards, anyway. Tucker put up 16 points on 4-for-4 from downtown, wearing out those corners.
He hadn’t scored that many points since the end of January. Prior to Game 1, he had scored under nine points in 11 of his last 12. So let’s take him to go under 8.5 points.

Let’s stick with unders, and move to Jimmy Butler, who was his usual all-around self in the opening-game win. Butler had 21 points, six rebounds and four dimes.
In four games against the Hawks this year, Jimmy Buckets has crossed 22.5 points just once, and that was way back on January 14 in his first meeting of the year. Love the +100 odds on that too.

Bam Adebayo had a quiet Game 1, with six points and six boards. However, Adebayo is due for a big outing. This was his fifth straight game without a double-double, and he only went six straight games without 10+ points and rebounds twice this season. We’ll take him at -145 odds.
Finally, Kyle Lowry and steals vs the Hawks are like clockwork. He had a pair of swipes against ATL last game, and in four games against the Hawks this season he’s hit that total three times. At +210 odds, let’s size this up.
Hawks vs Heat Same-Game Parlay Picks
Pick | Odds |
---|---|
Trae Young OVER 27.5 Points | +120 |
PJ Tucker UNDER 8.5 Points | -155 |
Jimmy Butler UNDER 22.5 Points | +100 |
Bam Adebayo Double-Double | -145 |
Kyle Lowry 2+ Steals | +210 |
PARLAY | +2500 |
That’s a +2500 payday. If you’re putting up a $25 bet, you’re looking at a potential payout of $650, if you hit on all five. You can find these props at DraftKings, but check out the best online sportsbooks you can choose from to make your wager. Good luck!
