c0ntact bench LETN1

Nestor “LETN1” Tanić has been removed from c0ntact‘s starting lineup and is now open to offers from other teams.

The news of LETN1‘s benching in c0ntact comes as no surprise as the 27-year-old was removed from the starting lineup last month when Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer was ushered in to lead the team ahead of the cs_summit 6 Europe regional qualifier, where they finished in sixth place after a loss in the decider to fnatic, just shy of the fifth-place needed to qualify for the main event.

LETN1 is open to negotiating with other teams

LETN1‘s benching puts an end to a years-long partnership that saw the core of this lineup make the StarLadder Major in Berlin and several DreamHack Open finals, including a victory at DreamHack Open Rotterdam 2019.

The European mixture has since been struggling to reproduce past showings, unable to find the form they had while still under CR4ZY, and the change comes after a steep drop in the rankings over the past six months, which saw them go from being a top 20 team to currently sitting at #42.

“My journey with team c0ntact came to an end,” LETN1 said in a personal statement, “I am currently on the bench, but I am looking for new opportunities. Change was necessary in the team and I think this is the best way because both sides need a fresh start.”

c0ntact‘s lineup is:

Serbia Luka “emi” Vuković
Lithuania Rokas “EspiranTo” Milasauskas
Finland Otto “ottoNd” Sihvo
Bulgaria Georgi “SHiPZ” Grigorov
Denmark Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer

Serbia Nestor “LETN1” Tanić (benched)

Ireland Neil “NeiL_M” Murphy (head coach)
Sweden Daniel “djL” Narancic (coach)
