The Philadelphia Fusion announced they have signed Overwatch Contenders star player Jae-hee “MN3” Yoon to their active roster as of Oct. 27. MN3 previously played for T1, Philadelphia Fusions’ Overwatch contenders academy team.
Given the plethora of departures many teams including the Fusion have experienced during the offseason, calling up MN3 to the Overwatch League should come as no surprise. MN3 showed fantastic prowess throughout Contenders this year and helped lead T1 to a third-place finish in Season 2: Korea earlier this month.
MN3 has dominated Contenders, now it’s time for him to conquer the League.

One of the key players retained by Philadelphia this offseason is their captain and primary DPS Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee. Carpe is certainly an elite OWL talent and will be an excellent resource for MN3 to learn from as he begins his journey in the Overwatch League.
The Philadelphia Fusion are nearly, but not quite, going into full reset mode, as they are retaining only two players from last year’s team as they prepare for the OWL 2022 season. The upcoming season will mark the first time that professional Overwatch will be played on Overwatch 2 and using the game’s new 5v5 format.
Based on his past performance in Contenders, expectations are certainly high for MN3 as he enters the League. The Philadelphia Fusion roster will continue to shape up as the offseason progresses, but the official addition of MN3 is a huge step forward for the Fusion roster and definitely gives fans something to look forward to this upcoming season.
