The 2022 refresh for the Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop has now arrived in Malaysia. Specifically, the ones powered by the latest 12th-gen Intel Core CPUs.
The affordable gaming laptop line has a new chassis redesign for 2022, with more subtly aggressive lines flowing on the top. But look at it from afar it’s mostly a sleek black slab.
For cooling, there’s a dual-fan cooling setup. Air intake comes from the top and bottom of the chassis, and is blown out via four exhaust ports.
The keyboard features 4-zone RGB and is customisable by the built-in NitroSense app, which also allows you to monitor temperature as well as a one-click overclock feature.
In addition, the 2022 refresh also includes Killer DoubleShot Pro (E2600+1675i) and WiFi 6E so you can expect improved network performance.

In Malaysia, the Intel-powered 2022 Acer Nitro 5 comes in a five different variants, starting from a reasonable (for a gaming laptop that is) RM4,399 and going up to Predator levels of pricing topping at RM8,699.
All the 5 newly-released models come in the 15.6-inch monitor size.

The 2022 Acer Nitro 5 with Intel CPU is now available at Acer official stores and all authorised partners. Any purchase before July 14 will include merch worth up to RM833.
Acer Malaysia is currently hosting the “It Lies Within” Roadshow at Sunway Pyramid until July 3. It’s the first roadshow after a two-year hiatus (due to the pandemic) with various activities, prizes and promotions available on the show floor. Flash sales are also will be held on the show floor on July 2 and 3 until 12PM, with prices going as low as RM1 for select mice and backpacks.
