2022 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: August Edition

Fantasy football season is getting closer and closer. Every year millions of people play fantasy and with that comes the prep work to make sure that every draft is one that can produce a champion. This article will go through and show what happened in an ESPN 2022 fantasy football mock draft and analyze the results. This is for a 10-team, standard-scoring league. Here is the 2022 fantasy football mock draft: July edition.

Team 1

Roster: RB Jonathan Taylor, RB D’Andre Swift, TE Kyle Pitts, WR Courtland Sutton, WR DK Metcalf, WR Darnell Mooney, RB Miles Sanders, WR Allen Lazard, QB Dak Prescott, RB Cordarrelle Patterson, TE Dallas Goedert, WR Tyler Boyd, D/ST Saints, K Matt Gay, RB Alexander Mattison, QB Tua Tagovailoa

Team 1 has two good running backs and a premium tight end. The wide receivers leave a little to be desired as Sutton and Metcalf may not be true WR1s this season. The running backs could carry this team to success.

Team 2

Roster: RB Derrick Henry, RB Leonard Fournette, WR Tyreek Hill, RB Breece Hall, WR Terry McLaurin, WR Jaylen Waddle, QB Lamar Jackson, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB Damien Harris, RB Rashaad Penny, WR Garrett Wilson, RB Dameon Pierce, WR Romeo Doubs, TE Pat Freiermuth, D/ST Ravens, K Graham Gano

The second team also is stacked at running back. The wide receivers are talented, but will be relying on Tua Tagovailoa to have a big year. The depth at running back is nice, while the wide receiver depth could be better. If Lamar Jackson can stay healthy, the team has massive potential.

Team 3

Roster: WR Cooper Kupp, RB Alvin Kamara, RB Cam Akers, RB David Montgomery, RB Josh Jacobs, WR Michael Thomas, QB Trey Lance, TE Dawson Knox, D/ST Cowboys, QB Joe Burrow, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR Marvin Jones Jr., K Justin Tucker, WR Jarvis Landry, WR Jahan Dotson, D/ST Rams

Team 3 is going to have a rough season. Four running backs in a row makes that position strong, but wide receiver was neglected for too long. Also in a 10-team league, having two quarterbacks and two defenses is never a good strategy.

Team 4

Roster: RB Austin Ekeler, QB Josh Allen, WR Tee Higgins, RB J.K. Dobbins, WR Gabriel Davis, TE George Kittle, D/ST Bills, K Harrison Butker, WR Drake London, RB James Robinson, QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Kenny Golladay, WR Treylon Burks, RB Marlon Mack, D/ST Buccaneers, K Ryan Succop

Team 4 took it to another level with drafting multiple quarterbacks and defenses, as they even took two kickers. This team doesn’t have the necessary depth at running back and wide receiver to do a bunch of damage.

Team 5

Roster: RB Christian McCaffrey, TE Mark Andrews, RB Javonte Williams, WR Mike Williams, WR Brandin Cooks, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, QB Jalen Hurts, WR Adam Thielen, RB A.J. Dillon, RB Chase Edmonds, WR Tyler Lockett, WR Michael Gallup, D/ST 49ers, K Evan McPherson, RB Kenneth Gainwell, WR DeVante Parker

This team will struggle at wide receiver and in running back depth, but has a chance to be successful. That success will largely be determined by Christian McCaffrey’s health. With the depth being subpar, this is a big risk.

Team 6

Roster: RB Joe Mixon, TE Travis Kelce, RB Nick Chubb, WR Keenan Allen, QB Patrick Mahomes, WR Chris Godwin, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR Hunter Renfrow, WR Brandon Aiyuk, QB Russell Wilson, TE Zach Ertz, WR Chris Olave, WR Jakobi Myers, WR D.J. Chark, D/ST Colts, K Matt Prater

Never let it go to autodraft.

Team 7

Roster: RB Najee Harris, WR CeeDee Lamb, RB Aaron Jones, WR Michael Pittman Jr., WR Jerry Jeudy, RB Devin Singletary, WR Amari Cooper, TE Hunter Henry, WR Christian Kirk, RB Melvin Gordon III, RB Mark Ingram II, QB Kirk Cousins, WR Joshua Palmer, D/ST Packers, WR Robbie Anderson, K Tyler Bass

This team is solidly built and will have a chance at the playoffs. With Harris and Jones at running back and Lamb plus some solid receiver depth. The only downside to this team is having Kirk Cousins at quarterback, but this roster can win.

Team 8

Roster: WR Justin Jefferson, WR Stefon Diggs, RB Saquon Barkley, WR A.J. Brown, WR Marquise Brown, RB Antonio Gibson, QB Kyler Murray, TE T.J. Hockenson, WR Elijah Moore, RB Tony Pollard, TE Mike Gesicki, WR Robert Woods, RB Ken Walker III, RB Michael Carter, D/ST Steelers, K Nick Folk

This team is too thin at running back to do any damage. They need to trade some wide receivers for running backs as soon as possible.

Team 9

Roster: RB Dalvin Cook, WR Davante Adams, WR Mike Evans, RB Ezekiel Elliott, WR Diontae Johnson, TE Darren Waller, RB Travis Etienne Jr., WR DeVonta Smith, WR Rashod Bateman, QB Tom Brady, QB Matthew Stafford, WR DeAndre Hopkins, RB James Cook, RB Raheem Mostert, D/ST Commanders, K Brandon McManus

Running back depth might be an issue, but this team has a star-studded starting lineup. Playing matchups between Stafford and Brady should lead to success. Hopkins can provide a late season playoff push.

Team 10

Roster: WR Ja’Marr Chase, WR Deebo Samuel, WR D.J. Moore, RB James Conner, QB Justin Herbert, RB Elijah Mitchell, TE Dalton Schultz, WR Allen Robinson, RB Rhamondre Stevenson, RB Kareem Hunt, WR Chase Claypool, WR Kadarius Toney, WR Russell Gage, WR Skyy Moore, K Daniel Carlson, D/ST Chargers

This manager did the zero-running back strategy. They are very strong at wide receiver, but will likely need to acquire a better running back to do any damage.
