The Philadelphia 76ers will try to win both ends of a back-to-back when they host the Denver Nuggets at 7:30 p.m. ET Monday at the Wells Fargo Center.

The 76ers (41-25/19-14 home) beat the Magic 116-114 in overtime Sunday night at Orlando. Since putting together a five-game winning streak, Philadelphia has split its last four games.

The Nuggets (40-28/20-15 road) have dropped back-to-back games on the heels of a four-game win streak. They lost to the visiting Toronto Raptors 127-112 on Saturday.

The 76ers are 2.5-point favorites in a game that will be televised by ESPN and have a 58.68% implied win probability based on being -142 picks on the moneyline.

Nuggets vs 76ers Injury Report

The Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon (right foot soreness) missed Saturday’s game while Zeke Nnaji (bilateral knee soreness) sat out his second game in a row. Both are questionable for Monday.

Vlatko Cancar (foot), Jamal Murray (knee) and Michael Porter Jr. (back) are out with long-term injuries.

Danny Green is expected to miss his fourth straight game for the 76ers with a finger laceration.

Nuggets Betting Outlook

The Nuggets are on a four-game losing streak against the spread and 18-17 ATS on the road this season.

Nikola Jokic, as usual, led the way for the Nuggets in the loss to the Raptors as he finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for his 55th double-double in 61 games in 2021-22. He is second in the NBA in boards with 13.8 a game.

However, the Raptors outrebounded the Nuggets 50-39, including 23-9 on the offensive glass. Toronto had 30 second-chance points to Denver’s 11.

The Nuggets also had 19 turnovers while forcing just seven, offsetting their 55.1% (43 of 78) shooting. Denver led 99-93 at the end of the third quarter but was outscored 34-16 in the final 12 minutes.

Rookie Bones Hyland added 17 points and seven assists off the bench.

Will Barton had 16 points after missing the previous three games with a sprained left ankle. Jeff Green chipped in with 13 points.

76ers Betting Outlook

The 76ers are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games after failing to cover an 11-point spread Sunday against the Magic. Philadelphia is just 13-20 at home against the number.

Joel Embiid had a big game as the 76ers rallied for the win. He finished with 35 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists, leading the team in all three categories.

It was Embiid’s 29th game of the season with at least 30 points. He leads the league in scoring with a 29.8 average and is eighth in rebounding with 11.3 boards a game.

The 76ers trailed by 17 points in the first half and 10 in the fourth quarter and then were down 113-109 with 1:25 left but pulled out the win. Philadelphia won despite shooting just 38.0% (35 of 92).

Tobias Harris had 26 points and nine rebounds. It was Harris’ 20th game of the season with at least 20 points but first since Feb. 8, a span of 11 games.

James Harden also had 26 points to go with six rebounds, six assists and three steals. He has scored at least 25 points in five of seven games since being acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in a trade.

Georges Niang contributed 16 points and Tyrese Maxey added 10 points and five assists.

Niang has been in double figures in four of the last five games after reaching 10 or more points in only one of the previous nine games.

Nuggets vs 76ers Prediction

The teams have split the last 20 games but the 76ers rolled to a 103-89 victory over the Nuggets on Nov. 18 in Denver despite missing Embiid.

Maxey led the 76ers with 22 points and Harris had 17 points and seven rebounds. Jokic had 30 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Nuggets, who got 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists from Barton.

This is a tough spot for the 76ers as they face a quality opponent one night after going to overtime on the road. That makes the Nuggets the play.
