Akshon Media to produce content for 2022 Overwatch and Call of Duty leagues

Game publisher Activision Blizzard has expanded its partnership with esports media company Akshon Media.

As part of the deal, Akshon Media will become an official content production partner for the 2022 season of the Overwatch League and the Call of Duty League. The deal follows on from a three-year partnership between both parties in 2020 which saw Akshon produce highlight videos for the Overwatch League.

Akshon Media will now expand its mandate and work with Blizzard Entertainment to produce post-game match highlights and video content for broadcast for the Overwatch League. Moreover, it will be the first time the company will produce match highlights for the CoD League.

Besides Activision Blizzard, Akshon Media has produced content for various esports companies and organisations. This includes Overwatch teams Toronto Defiant and New York Excelsior, the Gaming Stadium, NYXL (formerly Andbox) and T1. 

Established in 2016, Akshon has evolved into a multi-disciplinary entertainment company creating content, building social communities and highlighting news and information. 

Regarding the partnership, Roger Chan, CEO of Akshon Media, commented: “These production contracts for the global franchises were awarded to Akshon Media for our uncanny ability to create content that truly resonates with the global esports fans.
