AMD has announced that its latest Ryzen 7000 Series desktop CPUs are now available in Malaysia.
The Ryzen 7000 Series is based on the new Zen 4 architecture, using the smaller 5nm chips.
AMD says that the new Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs can deliver “double-digit IPC (instructions per cycle/clock) over Zen 3”, which translates to up to 15% faster gaming performance and also 27% higher performance per watt.
The interesting bit here is how AMD is pushing the performance per watt stat. This indicates the CPU’s efficiency of producing performance while maintaining a reasonable power usage- which means lower cost on the electricity bills for using PCs with these CPUs in the long run.
Right now, the Ryzen 7000 comes in four different variants, the cheapest Ryzen 7600X starting at RM1399 and the highest end Ryzen 7950X at RM3,399.
