A job opening at Respawn Entertainment’s official site has revealed the developer’s upcoming single-player Apex Legends FPS game, set in the Apex universe.

The job listing on Respawn’s Career Page describes the upcoming title ‘a developer’s dream playground with the freedom to innovate made possible by the unique universe it inhabits. Contrary to fan’s expectations of a sequel to the already established title, the game will be rather a spin-off of sorts that’ll allow players to experience the lore within the Apex universe. The title ‘Incubation’ hints that the game is at its very early stages, and it might be a while until it completes production.

The title ‘Incubation’ hints that the game is at its very early stages, and it might be a while until it completes production. The Careers Page on Respawn details three job listings for the upcoming project, with a requirement for a Senior Gameplay Engineer and a Hard Surface Artist. It remains to be seen how the newest FPS adventure will turn out, and we hope Respawn can incorporate elements of the memorable Titanfall games into the title. Apex Legends turned out to be a massively successful title upon the game’s launch in 2019, and we hope the newest single-player adventure can hope to weave the same magic.

Almost a year ago, Game Designer Mohammed “Badmofo” Alavi officially announced that an ‘ambitious’ single-player game was in the works at Respawn Entertainment, posting several job openings on a Twitter post. It is, however, unclear whether this was about the exact title set in the Apex Legends universe. The developer, however, did say that the project was in very ‘early stages’ at that time.

However, fans are waiting for the big reveal as there is still no announcement from Respawn Entertainment or EA regarding the upcoming single-player adventure.
