‘Apex Legends Mobile’ Has Soft Launched for Both iOS and Android in Select Countries

Over a few years following the CEO of Electronic Arts first hinting at Apex Legends for mobile devices, the game has soft launched on iOS and Android in select countries. Following the original announcement, Apex Legends was confirmed to be a bespoke mobile version without cross-progression with consoles and PC. Apex Legends was also confirmed to have its own battle pass, unlockable content, and more. After previously seeing closed tests on Android in various countries, this new Apex Legends soft launch also includes iOS with more countries supported. The list of countries for this new regional launch includes Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Colombia.

This new Apex Legends soft launch is aiming to help test matchmaking and progression alongside the in-game economy, regional operations, and more. The team wants feedback on the various game modes, progression for Legends, Ranked, and more. The Legends included in this launch are Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder and Caustic (Unlocked at Battle Pass tier 25). If you’re in a supported country, you can download Apex Legends for free on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. The App Store lists various Syndicate Gold packs as in app purchases including some special offers. Check out EA and Respawn’s full blog post and FAQ for this round of the soft launch here including details on progression resetting, in-game purchases, and more. What do you think of Apex Legends on mobile so far and will you be trying this soft launched version?
