Apex Legends’ new map looks incredible!

Apex Legends’ next major update is going to be an incredible exploration of what Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale really has to offer and we have everything you need to know about what to expect in the next title – official teasers and unofficial leaks included.

BATTLE PASS – New trailer teases upcoming cosmetics

The latest Apex Legends trailer confirms that the following is coming in the Season 11 Battle Pass

  • Desert Mirage – Legendary Mirage Skin
    • Cover Fire – Spitfire Skin
  • Glorious Combatant – Legendary Gibraltar Skin
    • Bucking Bronco – 30-30 Skin
  • Visionwalker – Epic Wraith Skin
    • Ante Up – Volt Skin
    • Compound Fracture – Bocek Skin
  • Pipe Dream – Reactive Prowler Skin

It also looks like there’s going to be new cosmetic items for Rampart, Octane, Valkyrie… We should see a fairly even spread across all the Legends from the rest of the content.

If you don’t want to spend any money, the Escape Battle Pass will offer up the following rewards for free:

  • 7 Apex Packs
  • 6 Weapon Skins
  • 6 Loading Screens
  • Season 11 “Win” Banner Trackers for all Legends
  • 1 Music Pack
  • 300 Apex Coins
  • Season 11 Banner Badge

This is almost exactly the same as the Season 10 Battle Pass, except it doesn’t look like we’re going to get a Legend skin this time around. It’s a shame, but free content is free content – right?

WEAPON DAMAGE – How does the CAR stack up?

From what we can tell, it looks like the CAR SMG‘s Light Ammo and Heavy Ammo both do the same damage. Heavy Ammo should slow enemies more than Light Ammo, however, it looks like we’re only going to get the following damage output:

  • Head Damage – 20
  • Body Damage – 13
  • Leg Damage – 10

You can check out a clip of it in action below:

This is a little unusual, but it essentially means it has a larger ammo pool as opposed to real differing firing modes – which is what many expected with the different ammo types.

PATCH NOTES – Wattson Buffs and more

Respawn Entertainment’s Season 11 Patch Notes are huge and one major reason why is the Wattson rework and buff that’s being shipped with the Escape update. Wattson’s getting a new hitbox, which you can see below, and having her Pylons reworked drastically.

NEW HITBOX – Are you happy with these changes?

They should still work the same, but there’s a lot you need to look out for.

The Season 11 Patch Notes also include updates regarding loot rotations, the Battle Royale and Arenas map rotations, and a few bug fixes. It’s all pointing towards another good season and we can’t wait to see what’s coming in the future.

ASH – Ability Set leaked ahead of official reveal

It looks like Ash’s ability set has taken inspiration from her Ronin Titan – from Titanfall 2 – and there’s going to be a few interesting mechanics coming to Apex Legends with her arrival in Season 11. The following has been leaked ahead of an official reveal – so take it with a pinch of salt…

  • Passive Ability
    • Marked For Death
      • Ash’s map shows the location of recent “deathboxes”. Press on a “deathbox” to mark remaining attackers (once per box);
  • Tactical Ability
    • Arc Snare
      • Throw a spinning snare that damaged and tethers the first enemy that gets too close;
  • Ultimate Ability
    • Phase Breach
      • Tear open a one-way portal to a targeted location;

You can find the leak here – Twitter link – we’re not posting it due to explicit language (you’ve been warned!) Respawn Entertainment should confirm the above on October 25th.

“Storm Point” confirmed as the new map?

” A STORM IS BREWING

No matter how beautiful it seems, every corner of the Outlands is a dangerous place. You’d be wise to remember that.”

Following this statement from Respawn Entertainment, Shrugtal has shared an in-game teaser that offers up the name “Storm Point”. This could be the name of the new map coming to Apex Legends in Season 11 – It certainly sounds like the name of a map, doesn’t it?

Check out the in-game teaser below:

As you can see below, the new Season 11 launch trailer is dropping soon. All will be revealed then.

SEASON 11 LEAKS – What are we going to find out about?

Wattson Heirloom Item

We know it’s been a long time coming, but it looks like there’s a Wattson Heirloom item on the way. Apex Legends data miner Shrugtal has shared the following regarding this Heirloom item and it all looks fairly legitimate.

As you can see below, it looks to be some sort of gadget with which Wattson can interact. It was leaked a little while ago, but we haven’t had a Collection Event since then – so, we could be seeing it in Season 11.

Tropics Map Setting

In addition to this, there’s been a long-standing rumour that Apex Legends is getting a “tropics” map in Season 11. This has come after GarretLeaks, another notable Apex Legends data miner, uncovered an unused vehicle texture for Apex Legends’ vehicles.

As you can see below, these vehicles will have dirt splashes which would suggest a different terrain to what we’ve seen in Apex Legends so far. It’s worth taking things with a pinch of salt, but this is another leak that’s been around for a while.

New Legend – Ash

Ash, a character that you might remember from the introduction of Arenas, is expected to be the new Legend added to Apex Legends in Season 11. At the moment, we have quite a few leaks to talk about.

GarretLeaks has suggested there’s going to be a progression of in-game teasers leading towards this revelation and has discussed Ash’s ability set in the video below.
