Ax1Le awarded MVP of IEM Dallas

Ax1Le has been named the Most Valuable Player of IEM Dallas by HLTV x BitSkins.com after putting on one of the best performances of his career and leading Cloud9 to their first Big Event victory.

Averaging a 1.32 rating overall, the 20-year-old was exceptionally consistent throughout the tournament, recording 1.00+ ratings on every one of the whopping 16 maps he played in Dallas, and at least a 1.15 rating on 13 of them.

His best series came in the quarter-finals, where Cloud9 claimed their biggest scalp in the form of the world’s best team, FaZe, with Ax1Le being the difference-maker on the two close maps they won to secure their advancement to the semi-finals.

He went on to play well in the next two playoffs series against BIG and ENCE, enough so that he stayed ahead of his closest rival to the MVP, Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov, who ended the tournament as the second-best player after closing the gap to his teammate with a team-leading display in the grand final against Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer‘s squad.

Overall, Ax1Le scored highly in nearly every category outside of his tournament-highest overall rating. He dealt the most damage per round (89.4), scored the second-most kills per round (0.81), the fourth-fewest deaths per round (0.59), and the joint-most opening kills per round (0.16), while his 77.7% KAST (second-best) goes to show how consistent he was on a round-to-round basis, as well.

This marks the Russian star’s third MVP award and his first on LAN, after he previously claimed the accolade in ESL Pro League Season 13 and in IEM Summer.
