Battlefield 2042 – Top 11 Things We Had To Test

Battlefield 2042 is a wild and somewhat broken game ahead of launch, but it also has a really fun sandbox. We’re grabbing tanks, rocket launchers, guns, and specialists to test the limits of the game.

In this video, we’re going to try a bunch of different ideas to see if we can confirm or bust some possible Battlefield 2042 myths. Tests will include whether you can kill players with called-in vehicle and supply drops, discovering if you can kill with healing darts, determining if vehicles really do have part-specific damage, and finding out what kind of punishment Dozer’s shield can take. We’ll also explore if Sundance can roadkill with her wingsuit, a surprising effect of Irish’s Barricade on sniping, and what Rao’s hacking ability really does.

Battlefield 2042 is out now on most platforms including PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The game will receive a day one patch and several more in the first 30 days after its full release, aimed at fixing bugs. That means some of the things we test in this video might change. Battlefield 2042 features multiple modes including All-Out Warfare, the extraction royale mode Hazard Zone, and Portal. We used Portal for this test video. Let us know what else you’d like to see us test and make sure to head on over to GameSpot’s YouTube page for Hazard Zone Tips, Everything To Know, and a Review In Progress.
