Chengdu Rongcheng will be looking for their first league win of the season when they visit the Huitang Stadium to take on Beijing Guoan in round seven of the Chinese Super League on Thursday.
On the other hand, the hosts head into the contest unbeaten in each of their last five matches and will look to extend that run.
Beijing Gouan managed to maintain their fine run of results as they fought back from behind to salvage a 1-1 stalemate at Cangzhou Mighty Lions last Saturday.
Piao Shihao scored in the seventh minute at the Wuhua Hengpi Football Town to hand the hosst the lead befored Yuning Zhang restored parity in 84th minute from the penalty spot to force a share of the spoils.
Xie Feng’s side are now unbeaten in each of their last five matches, claiming three wins and two draws since a 2-1 defeat against Cangzhou Mighty Lions in the league opener on June 5.
The Imperial Guards now return to home soil where they will be looking to claim a third consecutive victory after defeating Tianjin Jinmen Tiger and Shenzhen respectively in their previous two.
Meanwhile, Chengdu Rongcheng were involved in a stalemate for the fourth game in a row last time out when they played out a 2-2 draw with Shenzhen.
Ruibao Hu scored an own goal 20 minutes after finding the opener for the Chengdu-based outfit, and after Chae-min Im put the visitors ahead in the 59th minute, Tao Liu restored parity with a 78th-minute goal.
Chengdu Rongcheng are now one of three teams yet to taste victory in the season, picking up four points from their opening six matches to sit 15th in the league standings.
However, they head int the contest unbeaten in six of their last seven away games across all competitions.

Beijing Guoan will be without the services of Li Ke, who has been out of action since sustaining an injury while on international duty for China against Maldives on June 11.
He is joined on the injury table by Pengxiang Jin through an ankle injury, and Quanbo Guo who is yet to feature this year.
