Best Valorant Players in 2022

Valorant has been around for a while, and it already established a decent pro scene. Many professional players have switched games to compete in this game. But the question is, who are the best Valorant players in 2022? Stay tuned and find out.

Who is the Best Valorant Player?

Valorant is a team game and it’s really hard to point out only one player and say, with certainty, that he is the best one. There are plenty of consistent players that perform well under pressure in international tournaments. That’s why we picked some of the best players in the world, and you can decide who you think is the best.

We looked at the performances players have shown through recent tournaments, and present the highest-quality players from duelists to supports.

ScreaM

image

We start our list with the most famous player, a former Counter Strike Global Offensive player, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom. He gained huge popularity in CS scene all thanks to his insane aim and inhuman reaction time.

He was and still is known under the name “headshot machine“ due to his best headshot ratio ever in a professional game of any CS title.

ScreaM currently plays as an in game leader for Karmine Corp alongside his younger brother Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom.

f0rsakeN

Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto is an Indonesian player who plays for Paper Rex. He is also a former professional Counter Strike player.

Not to get confused, this is not the same f0rsakeN that got banned in CS:GO, the only thing they share is a nickname. f0rsakeN is known for his smart plays and incredible game sense.

He usually plays Agents like Yoru and Jett, duelists that can often surprise and sneak behind enemy lines. Playing Jett on a professional level isn’t easy but f0rsakeN makes it look like a piece of cake.

Zyppan

image

Pontus “Zyppan” Eek is one of the most promising players from Natus Vincere. He enjoys playing Jett, KAY/O, and Raze, a little weird pool of agents, but definitely what the team needs.

Apart from always being among the top fraggers when playing duelists, he is a flex player and can fill the initiation role whenever needed.

TenZ

image

Tyson “TenZ” Ngo is a Canadian player who currently plays for Sentinels. He was the first player to reach Radiant on the North American scene during closed beta. Before Valorant, he played CS for Cloud9.

TenZ is a tactical genius and many teams would love to have him in their ranks. However, Sentinels got a hold of him and they won’t let TenZera anywhere.

Wardell

image

This list wouldn’t be complete without Matthew “Wardell” Yu. Even though he is currently a stand in for Version1, Wardell is surely one of the best Valorant players out there. In 2020, he completely dominated the pro scene with his former team TSM, but he later decided not to move to Texas with the rest of TSM and took a little break.

Now, he is benched, but it is only a matter of time until he returns and becomes an essential core member once again.

MaKo

image

Kim “MaKo” Myeong-kwan is a young Korean player who currently plays for DRX. His amazing performance at international events is often overlooked.

However, he did a lot for the team’s success and he definitely deserves to be on this list. He plays primary controllers and is known for his incredible plays with Omen and Astra.

Derke

image

Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev is a Finnish-Russian professional player who currently represents Fnatic team. This young prodigy is known for his insane pistol and operator plays. He is definitely one of the best Chamber players out there. Before his Valorant career, he also was a professional Counter Strike player.

Shao

image

If you are looking for an all around player that can do everything, Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky is your guy. He currently plays for Natus Vincere but they only played one match. It’s hard to tell what his role in the team will be, but he is a flexible player, a swiss army knife, who can play anything, from support to a sentinel role.

Jinggg

image

Jing Jie “Jinggg” Wang is a Singaporean professional player for team Paper Rex. He prefers duelists and mostly plays Raze but he can also play as a support. His aggressive playstyle is often seen as insane.

He can casually play Sage and end up with 2.0 KDA which seems impossible, especially on the professional scene against some of the best Valorant players in the world. He is the one enemy team fears the most.

Saadhak

image

Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro is a team captain for LOUD. With him in charge, they were the best team and won Valorant Champions 2022 after defeating OpTic gaming 3-1 in the grand final.

Saadhak showed great initiative while mostly playing KAY/O and lead his team to win one of the biggest international tournaments in Valorant. In 2021, he was ranked as 8th best Valorant player, but now, after winning Valorant Champions, he is surely in the top 3.

yay

image

Even though everyone on this list deserves to be here, the best Valorant player on the competitive scene currently is surely Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker , who plays for Cloud9. He is an American and, without any doubt, the best player from the North American region, and probably in other regions too.

This wonder boy completely dominated the Riot Games Valorant Champions 2022. He had the most MVPs in both Group Stage and Playoffs. Jaccob was the MVP in every single match he played, except for the grand finals, where his team lost against LOUD.

Final Thoughts

Every single Valorant player on the list above deserves to be here. They all did well in international tournaments and have built-in game sense that other players lack. There are a lot of good performing players but the ones above are the top Valorant players in 2022.
