BGMI teams might shift to PUBG New State Mobile after the ban

The sudden ban of Battlegrounds Mobile India has come as a shock for all mobile gaming enthusiasts and professional players.

With no information being provided by the Indian Government officials. The fate of BGMI looks the same as what happened with PUBG Mobile last year’s “Permanent Ban”.

As per reports, the Indian government banned BGMI by invoking Section 69A of the IT Act. A similar action was taken against PUBG Mobile before the game was banned in India where data protection and privacy were seen as subjects of concern.

Mobile esports in India is huge, which was seen in the recently finished esports tournament, ‘BGMI Masters Series 2022’, has witnessed record viewership with more than 100 million views on the live game streaming platform, Loco.

According to a post by Esportsgen, it has been speculated that all professional BGMI teams, players, and organizations might shift to New State Mobile esports. It is a futuristic-style multiplayer online battle royale video game similar to PUBG Mobile and BGMI.

PUBG: New State System Requirements

As per Krafton, PUBG: New State Android users with 2GB RAM or more running on Android 6.0 and above will be able to play the game. Coming to iOS, iPhone 6S and above devices running on iOS 13 and above will be able to run the game.


Esportswala, an Indian esports organization that was seen competing in BGMI Showdown 2022 has introduced the first ever esports roster for New State Mobile. There have been many instances in the community that the teams could enter New State Mobile esports. One such person is Animesh Aggarwal aka Thug, Co-founder of S8ul Esports.

He wrote in one of his Instagram stories, “New State could be Future! Stop crying start grinding”. He further wrote about the BGMI ban,” We have been here in 2020, we sailed through it! What we saw was a complete give-up attitude from the majority of people! It’s not about giving up-keep the gamer within you alive! Take correct guidance under correct people and this shall be too easy.”

Dr. Rushindra Sinha, CEO & Founder of Global Esports also asked a few questions to his fans on “what they plan to do now?”. One of his options stated, “Move on & Play New State” which could point out their entry into the New State Mobile esports ecosystem soon.
