- The Chargers are three-point road favorites over the Raiders on Sunday Night Football January 9th

- A look at some of the top prop bets available can be found below
A playoff berth is on the line when the Los Angeles Chargers visit the Las Vegas Raiders at 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday at Allegiant Stadium.
Both teams are 9-7 and the winner will gain a playoff berth. The Raiders are on a three-game winning streak while the Chargers ended a two-game losing streak with last week’s 34-13 victory over the Denver Broncos.
The Raiders can also qualify for the postseason if they lose, and both the Indianapolis Colts lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Pittsburgh Steelers drop to the Baltimore Ravens. A loss would eliminate the Chargers, who are favored by three points in a game that will be televised by NBC.

Prime Time is Herbert Time
This is the clearly the biggest game of Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert’s nascent career as the second-year pro can get Los Angeles into the playoffs.
The moment likely won’t be too big for him. Herbert has thrived under the bright lights.
Herbert has thrown for at least 300 yards in two of his five career starts at night. He also has 14 touchdown passes, just two interceptions and a quarterback rating of 109.5.
"Justin Herbert, he's a scary dude. When you play against him on the defensive side, you have to cover the field from sideline to sideline and about 70 yards down the field… You better put some pressure on him." – @PhilSimmsQB pic.twitter.com/IJoYP7tSyd
— NFL on CBS ? (@NFLonCBS) January 9, 2022
Voted as the AFC starter at QB for this season’s Pro Bowl, Herbert is fourth in the NFL is passing yards (4,631) and his 35 touchdown passes rank fifth.
Though the Raiders are a solid 10th in the NFL in pass defense, Herbert has had success in his three career games against Las Vegas. He has surpassed 300 yards twice while throwing seven TD pass, no interceptions and compiling a 110.8 passer rating.
Throw in the fact that Herbert also has two 1,000-yard receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, and the Raiders figure to have their hands full with the 23-year-old signal caller.
- The Pick: Justin Herbert over 278.5 passing yards (-110).

Carr Gets Favorite Target Back
One of the most impressive aspects of the Raiders’ late-season winning streak is they have strung together three straight victories without injured tight end Darren Waller (knee). He has not played since the Raiders’ win over the Dallas on Thanksgiving.
Since Waller came to the Raiders in 2018 after flaming out with the Baltimore Ravens, he and quarterback Derek Carr have formed a strong connection. Waller has caught 243 passes from Carr, the most of any receiver in the QB’s eight NFL season.

Waller is expected back for Sunday night’s game. He will likely be a little rusty after missing five games.
Nevertheless, expect Carr to be looking for Waller often, especially in the red zone.
- The Pick: Derek Waller to score TD (+145)
