ChuaN returns from retirement to coach OB Esports x Neon

The International 2012 champion Wong “ChuaN” Hock is back after an almost four years break and will take the coach seat at OB Esports x Neon.

Filipino organization OB Esports x Neon shook up their roster entirely after the conclusion of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit and will enter the next competitive year with a brand new squad, but with the same objectives in mind, to conquer the regional leagues, to secure Majors presence and eventually earn a spot at The International 2022.

While some of the team members who took the spotlight at the Singapore Major earlier this year will now play for BOOM Esports or Execration, OB.Neon welcomed aboard two up-and-coming players who will be guided through their first steps in the competitive scene by the Malaysian legend, Wong “ChuaN” Hock.

Tri Daya “Mamang Daya” Pamungkas and Yukatheo “you_K” Glen will take the mid lane and hard support positions, respectively, while for ChuaN this will mark his debut as a coach after a seasoned competitive career.

Although he still is the only Malaysian to have lifted the Aegis of Champions above his head, back in 2012 with Invictus Gaming, ChuaN hasn’t been active for over three years. His last venture in the competitive scene was a brief stint at Echo International in early of 2018 and since then he’s been completely off the radar.

OB Esports x Neon roster:

Tri Daya “MamangDaya” Pamungka
Michael Roi “Enryu” Ladines
Ravdan “Hustla” Narmandah
Yukatheo “you_K” Glen
coach: Hock Chuan “ChuaN” Wong
