Copenhagen Flames announce Zyphon exit

The 18-year-old is “moving on to new adventures,” leaving just one player of the last Copenhagen Flames team still on the books.

Copenhagen Flames have announced the departure of Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss. In the release, the Danish organization hinted at the young rifler moving on to a different team, with a Blix.gg report from early August claiming he is on the verge of joining Sprout.

Zyphon was transfer-listed in early June alongside Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard and Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen, shortly after his two other teammates, Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi and Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen, were transferred to fnatic.

Zyphon is reportedly joining Sprout

The moves came after Copenhagen Flames attempted to sell the team as a whole, as they were unable to provide the necessary support for a lineup that quickly outgrew the organization following a top-11 placing at PGL Major Stockholm and a top-eight finish at PGL Major Antwerp.

Since then, jabbi has been acquired by Heroic and Daniel “Vorborg” Vorborg became the head coach of Evil Geniuses. With Zyphon‘s exit from the organization confirmed as well and HooXi being heavily linked with a move to G2, all members of the former Copenhagen Flames roster seem to have found a new home.
