It is February, which means fixtures are coming thick and fast for the best football clubs in Europe. In fact, eight clubs will take part in four Coppa Italia quarterfinals during the Italian midweek.

Of course, in this round of the Coppa Italia, the tournament is still a one-legged, single elimination format. Only in the next round do clubs have to worry about a second leg at the opposite venue.

Coppa Italia Quarterfinals Odds

Matchup Home Draw Away
Inter Milan vs Roma -182 +350 +390
AC Milan vs Lazio -118 +290 +275
Atalanta vs Fiorentina -150 +320 +330
Juventus vs Sassuolo -210 +360 +450

Odds as of Feb 7th at Barstool Sportsbook

Overall, it is quite clear from the odds table that each of these matches has a definite favorite. Particularly, Juventus has the shortest moneyline odds against Sassuolo (-210). But, there is some value in betting on them covering the -1 spread with odds of -129.

AC Milan’s moneyline odds of -118 vs Lazio also stands out on the table. Considering they will be riding the high of their Derby della Madonnina victory, this bet seems like a no-brainer.

Inter Milan vs Roma Prediction

First things first, I absolutely adore this matchup. Jose Mourinho back to his old stomping grounds in a one-off Coppa Italia quarterfinal, what could possibly be better?

These two sides have seven and nine respective Coppa Italia trophies and are truly Italian giants. Currently, Inter Milan are atop the domestic table by a mere point and have the best Serie A odds.

While they are coming off of a shock defeat to their biggest rivals, AC Milan, I fully expect them to bounce back. Actually, so far this season they have only dropped points in two consecutive matches once.

Conversely, Roma sit in seventh place right now on the Serie A table. Tammy Abraham has proved himself as a dependable strike force this season, bagging ten goals and three assists. I expect Mourinho to wind up the crowd and Abraham to get a consolation goal. However, I expect Inter Milan to advance in the Coppa Italia in convincing fashion.

Pick: Inter Milan -1 (-110)

AC Milan vs Lazio Prediction

Next, AC Milan and Lazio play in another suspenseful Coppa Italia quarterfinal on Wednesday. Coincidentally, both of these teams are coming off major victories against Inter and Fiorentina, respectively.

Lazio’s 3-0 victory over I Viola added on to what has been a run of four matches unbeaten in all competitions. However, do not put much weight into it. Two of those matches were against teams in the bottom fourteen of Serie A. Moreover, the other match was against a Fiorentina side that just lost a pillar of their team in Dusan Vlahovic.

To make things worse for Lazio, they were only expected to win one out of their last five matches when comparing xG versus xGA.

In the last round of this competition, both of these teams also needed extra time to slide by the likes of Genoa and Udinese. While AC Milan has not been a model of consistency either, I value their moneyline odds.

Pick: AC Milan moneyline (-118)

Juventus vs Sassuolo Prediction

Finally, Juventus take on Sassuoulo in the finale of the Coppa Italia quarterfinals. While this match seems rather stale, I think there are some fascinating storylines surrounding it.

For one, we do have to say that Juventus have been better as of late. In their first game back from the international break, they put in an efficient shift versus Verona. Despite having less shots and possession, they won 2-0.

Regardless, what was even more impressive was that their two newcomers, Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria, were the scorers.

In all honesty, the Serie A and Champions League is out of reach for The Old Lady. In turn, expect them to put a lot of effort into this Coppa Italia quarterfinal. They have defeated Sassuolo by multiple goals in two out of their last three tries, so I am favoring them on plus odds to do so again.

Pick: Juventus -1.5 (+133)
