It’s Gamescom week and Sabre Interactive has finally showcase some gameplay for their Dakar rally game, which looks to be an improvement from the previous game in the series, Dakar 18.

The game looks to be faithfully recreating the terrain from the recent Dakar, with 30 stages from the Saudi Arabia event recreated for this game. It features both day and night cycles, and weather from sunshine to even snowing (yes, there is snow in the Arabian desert) conditions.

There will be 150+ vehicles to choose, ranging from Dakar trucks, SSV buggies and dirt bikes from 3 years of the Dakar series, which you can customize and race your own team with in the Career mode. And players can also tweak game modes settings, that will tailor your experience of playing this sprawling open-world racer.

Multiplayer will see you racing with other players together in either the official stages or even ones you can custom made via the Track Editor. And so far, it sounds promising for this Endurance Rally title.

Dakar Desert Rally is set to release on October 4 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
