Disney Dreamlight Valley adds Woody and more with the Toy Story Realm

If you look at each generation of gaming, there is no shortage of games that allow players to explore the Magic Kingdom. Disney Infinity took it one step further and cashed in on the toys to digital fad. It brought together the majority of its owned properties in a massive digital sandbox. This time around, Disney ditched the physical purchases and opted for digital. The latest expansion to its newest digital foray, Disney Dreamlight Valley, adds Woody, Buzz, and more to the Toy Story Realm.

Disney is definitely doing a lot more showing than telling, offering up a new trailer for the upcoming update. The Toy Story Realm reveal kicks off with a door in the castle bearing the three-eyed Aliens’ outline. Then, we’re immediately greeted by two familiar faces of the franchise, Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

The Toy Story realm come to life

The trailer goes on to show off the sweet outfits based on these characters, complete with a voicebox drawstring on the Woody top. For an even more authentic feel, everything is shrunken down to a toy’s perspective, offering up some true immersion.

The Toy Story Realm update was revealed on September 21, but we don’t know exactly when you’ll be able to hit the room with Woody and Buzz. There is at least a note at the end promising a fall 2022 release. If you haven’t jumped in already, there are a few available bundles currently on Steam. The base Early Access game is $29.99 USD. Both the Ultimate Edition and Deluxe Edition bundles are on sale as well. Each comes with the base version of the Early Access game plus a few exclusive items, like clothing sets, based on the bundle you pick up. If it’s just your avatar you want to design, you can download the Disney Dreamlight Valley Avatar Designer for free.
