How do these Inhibitors work in Dying Light 2?

Simply put, you’ll need three Inhibitors to level up either your health or stamina. Dying Light 2 has a total of 126 Inhibitors, which means you can level up those stats 42 times. Moreover, each time you level up your health or stamina, your immunity also increases. This mechanic represents how your character will slowly succumb to the virus if it’s not daytime or if he’s exploring interiors.

But which one is more important: health or stamina?

  • Stamina – I would suggest prioritizing stamina not just because you’ll get to use more parkour skills, but also because it’s used in a lot of other mechanics. The Paraglider uses stamina, as does the Grappling Hook. Getting to the top of Windmills, finding Military Airdrops, activating Radio Towers, or just running around to survive Night Chases all rely on your athletic abilities.
  • Health – However, you can still level up your health a bit, at least until you reach a threshold that lets you use all the combat skills. For instance, Serial Shot requires 220 health and Smash Jump needs 240 health. If you already hit 240 HP, then you can stop there. Alternatively, you could increase it a bit more for added survivability.

How do I detect those Inhibitor Containers?

If there are nearby Inhibitor Containers in Dying Light 2, an AI voice will notify you, and an icon at the bottom-left corner of your screen will also show you how far away it is. Once you ping your surroundings with the “Q” key, the Inhibitor icon will show up if you’re close enough.

Later on in the game, you’ll get to complete the Broadcast mission. This has you activating a Radio Tower. From that point onwards, all Radio Towers that you activate will reveal the locations of Inhibitors in nearby districts.

Okay, I’m ready. Let’s get started!

To clarify, this Dying Light 2 guide series on Inhibitor Containers is split up into several parts. This specific article will only discuss the ones that are found during missions, and those that you’ll stumble upon while free-roaming. I did link separate guides for various locations, as these also have Inhibitor Containers. You can refer to the pages below for the parts that you need help with:
