EG White, EG Black remove players

Jonathan “djay” Dallal and Connor “chop” Sullivan have been released from their contracts with Evil Geniuses, departing EG White and EG Black, respectively, after nearly six months under the organization’s banner.

Changes come to the two lineups following a period of mixed results. EG White won Fragdelphia 17 in September but have struggled in their international tournament appearances at the Pinnacle Cup Championship and ESL Challenger Melbourne, while EG Black have underperformed in ESL Challenger League and other domestic North American tournaments.

djay is no longer a part of EG White

djay had been a part of the EG White core for nearly three years, playing alongside Josh “PwnAlone” Pigue and Ben “ben1337” Smith on New England Whalers, High Coast, and Party Astronauts before their eventual pickup by EG. He averaged a 1.09 rating while under the organization’s banner, the second-highest rated member of the team after PwnAlone.

chop put up similar numbers on EG Black, averaging a 1.08 rating — the third-highest on the lineup. The team had limited success overall, however, faltering in qualifier bids for ESL Challenger Rotterdam and exiting back-to-back seasons of ECL in 4th and 5-6th place.

Replacements for both teams are still being explored. EG Black are currently using Wesley “viz” Harris as a stand-in for ECL and have reportedly practiced with Nouns member Jeorge “jeorgesnorts” Endicott, while EG White enlisted the help of Khizar “Momo” Rehman in CCT North America Series 2.

EG White are left with:

United States Ben “ben1337” Smith
United States Josh “PwnAlone” Pigue
Canada Jonathan “Jonji” Carey
United States Wesley “viz” Harris

United States Joseph “Muenster” Lima (coach)
