Elden Ring Beat GTA 5 and RDR2’s YouTube Records

Elden Ring proved to be pretty popular on YouTube, with the game garnering over 3.4 billion views in the first 60 days after launch. As shown in an infographic provided by YouTube gaming, that statistic dwarfs the efforts of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Elden Ring YouTube views record

In addition to besting GTA 5 and RDR 2 in the battle of biggest view counts, Elden Ring also took down Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Skyrim. Clearly a lot of people were eager to watch Elden Ring walkthroughs, montages, and other footage captured of The Lands Between.

The number of views achieved in 60 days isn’t the only statistic shared by YouTube Gaming. As seen in the tweet above, Margit, The Fell Omen was the most popular boss. This is understandable, as he’s the first major hurdle that players need to overcome and, if you don’t prepare well, he can be a nightmare to deal with, therefore encouraging the hunt for a video walkthrough.

The next most popular boss was Malenia, Blade of Miquella. This is arguably the toughest boss in Elden Ring, with her incredibly deadly attacks making light work of even high-leveled players. Struggling against this boss would also have led to players searching for walkthroughs or highlights of her being defeated with style.

Samurai was the most popular Elden Ring class showcased in gameplay uploaded to YouTube. This class starts out with good armor and a powerful bleed weapon, as well as decent maneuverability. In second place is the Hero, another well-balanced class. Wretch is third, which is mostly chosen by players who want to throw in an extra challenge.

In other PlayStation news, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer gameplay has been leaked by the LA Rams football team. Overwatch 2’s $45 skins are apparently not indicative of final pricing, Blizzard has claimed. EA has confirmed that single-player games are still really important to them.
