Elden Ring Patch Prevents Players From Getting Trapped in a Death Loop in PvP

Elden Ring is easily one of the biggest video game releases of the year, but it certainly didn’t take long for the multiplayer hackers to show up. One of the most concerning bugs cropped up last week, when a player posted a video on Twitter showing how invaders could cause your game to crash once they spawned in, and trap you in an infinite death loop that essentially caused you to lose your save file.

It’s a pretty terrifying prospect, and players have managed to find workarounds such as trying to open the map to teleport away before their character could die.

Thankfully, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have since pushed out a small update to address this issue. Here are the changes:

  • Fixed a bug that sometime prevented players from advancing NPC Nepheli Loux’s questline
  • Fixed a bug that causes the playable character to die when trying to descend from a spot near Bestial Sanctum
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Ash of War, Endure from taking effect
  • Fixed a bug in multiplayer that allowed players to teleport others to incorrect map coordinates

Make sure to download the latest patch to ensure that you don’t fall victim to hacking invaders. Elden Ring is now available on PC and consoles.
