More companies have been embraced by the ever-growing games company that is Embracer Group. The group announced, among many other, bigger acquisitions, the acquisition of Tuxedo Labs and Tripwire Interactive.
Tuxedo Labs is a six-person developer team in Sweden, which recently released the voxel-based sandbox of destruction and heist puzzler Teardown.
Meanwhile Tripwire Interactive are famous for the Killing Floor series as well as recently the shark RPG Maneater. Tripwire also runs a publishing label, Tripwire Presents which recently released Chivalry 2 and will be publishing the spy vs. spy multiplayer game Deceive Inc.
Both Tuxedo Labs and Tripwire Interactive will be operating under the Saber Interactive operating group after this acquisition. The purchasing price for both acquisitions was undisclosed.
Embracer Group has a number of operating groups which include THQ Nordic, Plaion (previously Koch Media, which operates the Deep Silver label among others), Coffee Stain, Amplifier Game Invest, Saber Interactive, DECA Games, Gearbox Entertainment, Easybrain, Asmodee and Dark Horse.
