Man City vs. Brighton

image

Man City in the head-to-head at 1.20 (BlueBet)
Man City -1.5 at 1.58 (bet365, BoomBet)

The worst time to play Manchester City is right after they’ve drawn or lost a game, so Brighton’s timing is unfortunate. Since the start of the 2021/22 season Man City have gone 11-0-0 on the back of a draw or defeat. Added to the mix is the fact that City didn’t play midweek while Brighton did, so the hosts will be the fresher of the two sides. Brighton limp into this fixture on a four-game winless streak under new manager Roberto de Zerbi. They have yet to win a game since Potter’s departure and Brighton have failed to score in their last three games. Man City beat Brighton by a combined 7 goals to 1 in their two league meetings last season. Brighton failed to score in their last four away games against City. Over the last twelve months 13 of City’s 17 home wins were by 2+ goals. Since Brighton were promoted, nine of their ten defeats to Man City were by 2+ goals.

Chelsea vs. Man Utd

image

Draw at 3.60 (bet365)

Six of the last eight meetings between the two resulted in a draw. Both sides come into this fixture having drawn one of their last two games. Chelsea are on a five-game unbeaten streak while Man Utd have only lost one of their last eight games.

Aston Villa vs. Brentford

image

Under 2.5 goals at 2.10 (bet365)

Aston Villa’s last five games as well as their last four home fixtures have all gone under 2.5 goals. Brentford have kept three clean sheets in their last four games, two of which resulted in 0-0 draws. This fixture ended 1-1 last season.

Southampton vs. Arsenal

image

Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.57 (BlueBet)

Arsenal bring a four-game winning streak into this clash and they have gone 10-0-4 as the away favourite over the last twelve months. The Gunners have gone 4-0-1 away from home this campaign and they recorded four clean sheets in the process. Southampton have lost four of their last six games, with their paltry figure of three goals across those six fixtures contributing to their form.

Leeds vs. Fulham

image

NOTE: at the time of writing Leeds and Fulham have yet to play their Friday morning (AEDT) fixtures.

Leeds +0.5 at 1.30 (bet365)
Leeds in the head-to-head at 2.04 (Moneyball)

Leeds have gone 6-5-1 as the favourite over the last twelve months. Fulham have gone 0-1-3 as the away underdog this season.
