Aston Villa vs. Everton

image

Under 2.5 goals at 1.87 (bet365)

Both sides failed to score last week. Aston Villa put in a sluggish performance to carry on their four-game winless streak from last season. Everton have shored up defensively during the off-season but they desperately need new signings upfront given the departure of Richarlison and the injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Two of the last three games between Aston Villa and Everton went under 1.5 goals with one game ending in a 0-0 stalemate.

Arsenal vs. Leicester City

image

Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.46 (Picklebet)

Arsenal have gone 13-2-1 as the home favourite over the last twelve months and they have gone 6-1-1 in their last eight home fixtures against Leicester City. The Gunners have strengthened the squad during the summer with acquisitions including Jesus, Vieira and Zinchenko. The Foxes have a miserable 0-5-9 record as the away underdog over the last twelve months.

Southampton vs. Leeds

Southampton 1-2 Leeds correct score at 12.00 (bet365)

Southampton have lost five consecutive games spanning this season and the last. Four of their last six home games resulted in 1-2 defeats. Three of Leeds’ last five wins were by 2-1 scorelines.

Liverpoool vs. Crystal Palace

image

Liverpool in the head-to-head at 1.21 (Unibet)

Liverpool have gone 15-3-0 as the home favourite over the last twelve months and they have won ten consecutive games against Crystal Palace. Palace’s last five games against Liverpool resulted in defeats by a combined 19 goals to 1. Crystal Palace looked undercooked last week in their 2-0 home defeat to Arsenal. The biggest change to the squad from last season is the departure of star loan signing Conor Gallager
back to Chelsea. They have had a disrupted pre-season due to half of the squad going on an overseas tour and the other half staying in England due to their vaccination status.

Liverpool to win to nil at 1.78 (Unibet)

The last three home wins for Liverpool over Palace were to nil and over the last twelve months 5 of Palace’s 7 away defeats were to nil. Over the last twelve months 12 of Liverpool’s 15 home wins were to nil.

Liverpool -1.5 at 1.62 (Unibet)

Liverpool’s last five wins over Crystal Palace were by 2+ goal margins. Over the last twelve months 13 of Liverpool’s 15 home wins were by 2+ goals.
