With Fortnite wrapping up Chapter 2 Season 8 on Dec. 4, players are already speculating what’s to come in Chapter 3. We already have many hints and leaks alleging what we can expect, but none are guaranteed until the Season actually begins.

Here’s everything we know so far about Fortnite Chapter 3.

Once the Cube Queen is destroyed and the island is brought back to “normal,” it’s unclear what Epic Games has next in store for Fortnite: Battle Royale. With the Holiday Season underway, we already expect some holiday-themed content coming this December, as well as pending crossovers between Fortnite and other popular franchises, including Star Wars’ Boba Fett, Spiderman, and others. However, nothing is confirmed for the future of Chapter 3.

We do have many leaks and concepts for what we can get in Chapter 3 Season 1, and most of them entail a brand new map. Fortnite has seen many map changes since the game’s launch in 2017, so this is very likely to yield true come Season 3. It has been teased already that we may be getting the return of that “first drop feeling,” according to The Fortnite Team.

In addition, Chapter 3 is confirmed to be the launching of Fortnite’s new Unreal Engine 5 Upgrade, which will see major changes to the game as a whole and boost the game’s performance. With the update, we can see more possibilities in terms of gameplay come to Season 3.

It’s a mystery what the new theme of Chapter 3 will be, but players hope with the new engine, new dynamic POIs will be added to the map, including a rumored railway system similar to Warzone’s train.

Stay tuned for more updates on next season as Season 2 ends on Dec. 4.
