Fortnite Silk Sonic Cup: How to Unlock Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak for Free

The musical duo Silk Sonic has officially entered Fortnite’s Icon Series. This morning, Epic Games announced the news that group members Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak would join Ariana Grande, J Balvin and a slew of other celebrities and well-known figures in the game’s most exclusive cosmetic classification. 

The items involved in the collaboration will arrive in the Item Shop on February 10 at 7 PM EST. However, those looking to get their hands on the entire set early need not look any further than the Silk Sonic Cup.

Epic Games plans to host a tournament on February 7, where teams that finish at the top of each region will unlock Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. Players can also earn a spray for free by compiling eight points in the tournament.

Silk Sonic Cup Format

Fortnite’s Silk Sonic Cup is a duos tournament open to players of all Arena Mode rankings and worldwide regions. Those interested should open Fortnite during their region’s designated time window to compete. Participants can play a maximum of ten matches across three hours. Duos should aim to obtain points based on placement and eliminations.

Silk Sonic Cup Scoring System

This tournament offers 25 points for a Victory Royale and one per elimination. It’s a balanced scoring structure that encourages conservative gameplay to capture as many placement points as possible.

Silk Sonic Cup Prize Distribution

Europe tops the list in terms of prize distribution for this competition. Teams that finish between first and 1,250th will take home the complete Silk Sonic Set, including Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak and their respective Back Bling cosmetics. While that is a challenging prospect, those that earn at least eight points will collect the “Sleek” cosmetic spray, featuring both artists, as shown above.
