Game Pass sweeps away seven games, including Life is Strange: True Colors

It’s not a surprise, but it still hurts. We always lose a number of games from Game Pass at the midway of the month, but that doesn’t mean that we have to like it. Boo, Microsoft. Boo.

So, today you can no longer play the following: Life is Strange: True Colors (Cloud, Console, and PC), Moonglow Bay (Cloud, Console, and PC), Panzer Corps II (PC), Rainbow Six Extraction (Cloud, Console, and PC), The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk (Cloud, Console, and PC), The Long Dark (Cloud, Console, and PC) and The Riftbreaker (Cloud, Console, and PC).

There’s plenty to lament there, as a few of the games received healthy 4+ scores from our very website. But the one that’s going to cause the most pain (and it really did feel like it only just arrived on the service) is Life is Strange: True Colors.

We handed it a 5/5, and our reviewer Gareth Brierley got all gooey-eyed when he played it. He said “I’ve been pretty much bowled over by Life is Strange: True Colors – the story, characters, and themes have really managed to strike a chord. Others might find the tone and writing not to their taste and that’s fine, but I don’t think anyone can deny that the team behind it have progressed their art form and game-making skills in a positive direction with this latest addition to the franchise. Long may it continue”. Except it won’t continue, will it Gareth? At least in terms of our ability to play it. Grrr.

Another one to highlight is the pensive, lovely Moonglow Bay. This was a fishing sim that we handed a 4 out of 5 to in review, and we ended up adoring how the fishing was used to rejuvenate your neighborhood. “If you’ve ever found yourself procrastinating in an adventure game by playing its fishing minigames, then perhaps you should put down your current game and play this one instead”, we said. Except you’ll have to pay to play it. Dagnabbit.

The positive news is that there are some real doozies still to come to Game Pass this month. So far, the Game Pass list for April includes Minecraft Legends (Cloud, Console, and PC) on April 18th, and Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly (Cloud, Console and PC) on April 20th, Homestead Arcana (Console and PC) on April 21st, Cassette Beasts (PC) on April 26th and The Last Case of Benedict Fox (Console, Cloud and PC) on April 27th.
