Gamer’s Hideout Hosting Launch Event For God Of War Ragnarök

God Of War Ragnarök is launching next week, and Malaysia’s game retailer Gamer’s Hideout is hosting a launch event for the occasion.

The God Of War Ragnarök Launch Event will take place in Sunway Pyramid, LG2 Orange Avenue.

There are two parts of the event: the Midnight Launch (November 8, 11.30 PM – November 9, 1.30 AM Malaysia Time), and the Celebration Event (November 9, 10 AM – 10 PM).

Gamer’s Hideout customers who pre-ordered Ragnarok can pick up the game during the Midnight Launch (alongside a special event-exclusive premium) and celebrate the upcoming action-adventure title by Santa Monica Studio with fellow fans.

There’s also the God of War Ragnarök Jötnar Edition- the collector’s edition for the game so special that Gamer’s Hideout will be holding a lucky draw pull for a chance to purchase this. Every customer that bought the game will be part of the ballot of the lucky draw.

Alongside that, expect to see other activities happening during the Midnight Launch and the Celebration Event the day after. There will be photo booths, a Best Photo Award with a prize (the limited edition God Of War Ragnarok DualSense controller) and a cosplay of the game’s protagonist Kratos.

Fans are encouraged to take photos and roleplay with the Kratos cosplayer, who we assume will be grunting a lot and speaking little.

Gamer’s Hideout partnered with Sunway Pyramid and Play Interactive (the sole distributor for Sony PlayStation in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore) as sponsors for the God Of War Ragnarok Launch event.

It’s been a while since there are any major launch celebrations for a major game release in Malaysia, understandably so given the pandemic that has limited any public gatherings in the last two years.

The 2018 God Of War game previously had a launch event as well in Malaysia and curiously, a promotion with 4 Fingers.

God Of War Ragnarok releases on November 9 for the PS4 and PS5.
