Gamescom Asia Reveals First Wave Of Participating Companies, Speakers

Gamescom Asia 2022 will return to Singapore from October 20-22, bigger than ever before. And the organisers have announced some of the companies and speakers that will be participating in this game industry event.

Sponsors for Gamescom Asia 2022 include Gamedriver, TikTok, Microsoft Xbox, Potato Play, Nuvei, and Xsolla. While PlayStation, 9GAG, Lai Games, Brace Yourself Games, Hooded Horse have confirmed their presence for the event.

Gamescom Asia will have a B2B component, and so far over 80 industry experts will be present in person at the Trade Conference and Exhibition side of the event. Expect names from big AAA companies like Blizzard and EA, smaller up-and-coming indies like Sloclap and WolfEye Studios, game devs local to Southeast Asia like Mojiken Studio and Persona Theory Games, as well as other aspects of the games industry like esports (ESL) and mobile gaming (King) to be present at Gamescom Asia 2022.

Some of the confirmed talks for the Trade Conference of Gamescom Asia 2022 are the following:

  • Ending “Crunch” Through Better Testing – by Shane Evans, Chief Product Officer, GameDriver
  • Hard to Learn, Harder to Master: Composing Sifu’s Convoluted Yet Satisfying Combat System – by Théo Caselli, Game & Combat Designer, Sloclap
  • Our Time is Now: The Global Appeal of Asia-Made Indie Games – by Chia Jun Shen, Global Expansion Incubator Manager, Southeast Asia, Xbox

This is the first wave of announcements, with more partners to be revealed soon.

Registration for the Trade Zone & Conference part of Gamescom Asia 2022 is currently open, with early bird ticket sales ending on September 23. Ticketing for the Entertainment Zone, accessible to the public, will begin sales in August.

There will be an online component to Gamescom Asia 2022, with pre-event show Primetime and post-event show Studio returning again, and accessible for everyone online.

Gamescom Asia is the satellite event to Gamescom, the largest video game festival in the world helped annually in Germany.
