Gen.G vs Kwangdong Freecs: LCK 2022 Summer Picks and Predictions

Gen.G vs Kwangdong Freecs: LCK 2022 Summer Picks and Predictions

One side has been a level above every other this season. Gen.G have the LoL odds quite heavily in their favoring heading into this match against Kwangdong Freecs, who have struggled to find their feet all season with just six wins in 14 matches.

Kwangdog Freecs need some wins with their playoffs spot in threat and the last time they’d have liked to face in this trying time was Gen.G. Gen.G have only last one match all season and are on a seven-game winning streak. It will take a monumental effort mentally and tactically for Kwangdong Freecs to cause an upset. This LoL prediction seems to be heading one way.

Teddy and Fate Have Been The Only Shining Lights For Kwangdong Freecs

Kwangdong Freecs have been underwhelming in every department this season. The slow and steady approach seems to have backfired this season. No team takes longer to finish their games, with most taking a little over 35 minutes.

Other than Bot Laner, Teddy, and mid laner, FATE, no one in the side has stepped up. The two have KDAs over 4 for this year but their teammates haven’t even hit 3.

The don’t seem to have excelled at anything this term, only managing 9.8 deaths per game, 11.1 deaths per game, doing less damage per minute (1717) than all sides bar Fredit BRION. Most of these stats don’t make for great reading but they also suggest that the matches aren’t likely to big very exciting for fans, which could adversely affect the brand that the team has, which is quite important for most Esports teams.

Gen.G Look Highly Motivated

Gen.G look like a team with something to prove at the moment. They have decided to use the disappointment of last season’s final loss to T1 as the fuel for their excellent start to this campaign. They have dealt more damage than any side by some distance (2304), have a highly aggressive approach with a first blood rate of 66.7% and first tower rate of 76.7%, have only lost 2.7 towers per game, killed 8.8 towers per game, killed 14.2 times per games and died 6.6 times per game.

These are just phenomenal stats. The sort of stats of a would-be champion. Anything less than a win in the summer season playoffs will be seen as a disappointment. A KD ratio of 2.16 is quite simply ridiculous but perhaps not as ridiculous as the 7.08 KDA of their bot laner, Ruler.

With 4.39 kills per game, 1.33 deaths per game and 5.01 assists per game this year, he has led the way for Gen.G’s dominance this season. The only worry for Gen.G is that the league doesn’t decide the winner. A playoff match can be too random and all this dominance might wither on the most important. Regardless of what happens going forward, this level of dominance will long live in the memory of LCK viewers.

Kwangdong Freecs vs Gen.G Predictions

There can only be one winner in this one. This isn’t ideal for League of Legends betting but sometimes the safe bet is just the way to go. Gen.G’s only loss of the season came against T1 and their two matches in the league are already done. Kwangdong Freecs and most other sides won’t stand a chance against the likes of Gen.G. The question going into this match is just how easily will Gen.G win this match and if all this dominance in the league will make any difference when the big playoff matches come around. Time will tell.
