Golden Guardians Officially Sign huhi for 2023 LCS Season

After weeks of rumors, the LCS Free Agency period has officially begun. Teams have been working around the clock to put together the best roster they can. Now, the time for discussions is over. The LCS rosters are taking shape for the 2023 LCS Season. One of the moves officially confirmed by Golden Guardians is that they will be signing huhi to start at Support for next year. Here is the latest.

Even though Worlds 2022 was in NA, the LCS struggled mightily. Cloud9, 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses went a combined 3-15 during the group stages with only EG finishing above fourth due to a tiebreaker. Many had hoped things would be different but it felt like not only were the teams outclasses but that they were far behind on the meta.

Heading into 2023, teams will be looking to make changes that will hopefully propel them toward a title and a better time at Worlds.

After a few years away, huhi makes his way back to Golden Guardians. His time away was productive though. He won a championship with 100 Thieves, finished second twice and went to Worlds in both years. Now he will look to continue his career as one of the most successful position-swapping players in LCS history.

Golden Guardians are not shaking things up too much this offseason. They felt as though they were close to having things right in 2022 and will hope that a few new pieces will help them figure out the now and future even more. With Inero stepping into the General Manager role, it will be interesting to see how much he sticks to his initial plan that he laid out just a few weeks ago.
