Google’s Indie Games Accelerator Program Returns For 2019

Are you making a mobile game right now? If you’re in Southeast Asia (and other selected countries around Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America), Google is looking to assist you with their Indie Games Accelerator program.

This is the second year the tech giant is running this initiative, which helps mentor aspiring mobile games developers, especially indie devs. Should you be selected, you will be enrolled in a six-month bootcamp, starting in June.

Notable names in the industry experts list include Rami Ismail of Vlambeer, Daniel Seo of Halfbrick Studios, and Malaysia’s own Wan Hazmer of Metronomik fame. Various experts in Google, including Google Play, are part of the mentors as well.

The eligible countries are as follows:

  • Asia: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam
  • Middle East & Africa: Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia and Turkey
  • Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela

Registration is open until May 19th. You can apply here.
