G2 Esports have officially parted ways with their League of Legends head coach Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann and head analyst Christopher “Duffman” Duff. On Nov. 12, G2 announced on Twitter that the legendary duo have left the team.

GrabbZ became the head coach of G2 Esports right before the 2018 season, with Duffman rejoining the team shortly after Grabbz’ arrival. GrabbZ and Duffman have led G2 Esports to win four LEC titles from 2019 to 2020 and has brought the team to the League of Legends World Championship three consecutive times.

Through their leadership G2 Esports also won the Mid-Season Invitational in 2019 followed by a second-place win at Worlds that year.

Last month, G2 Esports made an announcement that it was looking to trade several members of its League of Legends team. Along with GrabbZ, G2 Esports is looking to trade top laner Martin “Wunder” Hansen, AD Carry Martin “Rekkles” Larrson, support Mihael “Mihyk” Mehle and strategic coach Sng “Nelson” Yi-Wei. Fans are expecting a new look for G2 Esports’ roster.

League of Legends fans are sad to see the duo leave G2 Esports, after years of inside jokes between the team and fans, multiple victories and plenty of growth under their leadership. However, many G2 Esports supporters have expressed on Reddit that they are excited to see GrabbZ and Duffman lead other teams to victory in the near future.

It is still unclear whether GrabbZ and Duffman have been signed to new teams yet, but Duffman replied on Twitter saying “the next era starts soon.”
