GT7 Daily Races revealed for this week (14th March) with first FIA Championship

A new set of Daily Race events have been launched into Gran Turismo 7’s Sport Mode multiplayer, as well as the first FIA accredited GT Nations Cup event.

It’s the first step toward fleshing out the competitive multiplayer mode in Gran Turismo 7, which was kept decidedly plain for the first week after the game launched on 4th March. There are now three daily races in Sport Mode where you set qualifying times and then race with cars to a certain specification. The performance level of the cars has also been increased and we see two spec categories with Gr. 4 and Gr. 3 both being used.

There’s also the launch of the first FIA competitive events. Gran Turismo World Series Nations Cup Test Season 1 will get under way next week. You can enter now with whatever your driver rating is, or you can try and improve it through the week and then lock yourself in.

Here are the three Daily Races, which will cycle at regular intervals through the day, and also what we know about the first round of the GT Nations Cup.

Car Regulations

  • Cars – 500 F ’68, Mini Cooper ‘S’ ’65, Volkswagen 1200 ’66
  • Power – 78BHP maximum

  • Tyres – Comfort Medium

GT7  Daily Race B

Track and layout – Nurburgring GP

Car Regulations

  • Car Category – Gr. 4
  • PP – 630 or less
  • Tyres – Racing Hard, Intermediate, Wet

GT7  Daily Race C

Track and layout – Daytona Road Course

Car Regulations

  • Car Category – Gr. 3
  • Power – 542 BHP or less
  • Weight – 1,350kg minimum
  • Tyres – Racing Hard, Intermediate, Wet

Gran Turismo 7 is a huge return to the classic style of the racing game franchise, bringing back a car collecting side and single player to go alongside what was found in the pioneering Gt Sport. In our Gran Turismo 7 review, I said:
