Heavenly Bodies is Physics Space Game Releasing Exclusively for PS4 and PS5

Physics-based space simulation game Heavenly Bodies is coming to PS4 and PS5 on December 7, 2021. Developer 2pt Interactive announced the official release date with a new trailer, showing off Heavenly Bodies’ unique and often comical physics system that looks almost like one of those Flash animated ragdoll physics web games. Players can choose to go on their space mission alone or with a friend in co-op mode.

While it seems like a fairly straightforward game, the new trailer shows off some of the hijinks that you and a friend can pull. From collecting minerals to data, the life of an astronaut is far from easygoing. In addition to dealing with weightlessness and the crippling loneliness of space, players will also have to grapple (literally) with a rather complex control scheme utilizing the triggers on the DualSense and DualShock controllers.

Using the bumpers, triggers, and joystick, players will be able to bend their knees, move their hands around, and grab things. Players can also hop into a smaller spaceship and pilot it using these same controls in order to mine asteroids for minerals. Be careful though; one wrong turn, one missed grab will leave you flying out into the void like Sandra Bullock in Gravity.

Not everything seems like life or death, however. In some parts of the trailer, we can see that some tasks include simply watering the flowers and flora inside of the space station. Other tasks revolve around routine maintenance, such as repairing broken parts and vacuuming out the garbage. You can even grab on to the other player and do a little zero-gravity wrestling. Just don’t accidentally open the airlock.
