Here’s GT7’s Daily Races for this week (28th March)

A new set of Daily Race events have been launched into Gran Turismo 7’s Sport Mode multiplayer, as the final rounds of the GTWS Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup conclude today and tomorrow.

As is usual, there are three ‘Daily Races’ that will run all through the week with the established format that lets you set qualifying times and then use this to matchmake against similarly competent rivals. For the first time, Polyphony has broken out the racing kart for a Daily Race, doing so for Race A. Alongside this they lean on the standard Gr. 4 class for Race B, and then having Gr. 3 cars for Race C. Race C also has accelerated fuel and tyre usage, so expect to do a pit stop! All three are now Balance of Power (BoP) races, so tuning, weight and engine power are all automatically balanced by the game.

Here are the three Daily Races, which will cycle at regular intervals through each day.

The 2022 Manufacturers Cup: Test Season 1

And the final round of the Manufacturers Cup will take place tomorrow.

  • Car – Gr. 4

It’s not clear what will happen after these, if Polyphony will head straight into a new full season of either, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.

While there has been strong criticism over the game’s economy and server requirements, with Polyphony announcing that an update will arrive in early April to significantly improve the in-game rewards, Gran Turismo 7 is a return to the classic style of the racing game franchise. It brings back a car collecting side and single player to go alongside what was found in the pioneering GT Sport in terms of online multiplayer.

In our Gran Turismo 7 review, I said:

“Gran Turismo 7 takes everything that was excellent about GT Sport’s fantastic multiplayer, high fidelity cars and circuits and innovative Scapes mode, and builds up a more traditional GT experience around it. It’s got its own quirky new ideas which will likely be passing diversions to most, but at its core, this is the Gran Turismo you know and love. Broad and accessible, but with depth, nuance and competitive racing for those keen to find it.”

Gran Turismo 7 is out now for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
