Heroic oust MIBR from Pinnacle Cup Championship

MIBR are out of the Pinnacle Cup Championship after two consecutive losses, bowing out in the opener to BIG before getting eliminated at the hands of Heroic.

Having lost their opening match to the new fnatic side playing with Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg as a stand-in, Casper “cadiaN” Møller‘s men are now on the way to recovery as they head into the Group A decider, where they will meet the losing side between BIG and fnatic on Thursday at 16:00 .

Heroic are back on track with a landslide victory over MIBR

Heroic had certainly looked shaken following their opening loss to fnatic and they continued to struggle when their series against MIBR started. With Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes leading the way, the Brazilians were in cruise control on the CT side of Inferno while the Danes had a tough time finding a way through to either bombsite and going down 2-8 early on.

The Danes eventually started to wake up, with a René “TeSeS” Madsen triple and a Rasmus “sjuush” Beck 1v2 clutch kickstarting the comeback from the large deficit, which was brought down to just three rounds by halftime.

Pinnacle Cup Championship is Heroic’s event to lose

Soon after, the score was even once Heroic were on the CT side, picking up a chaotic pistol round and successfully converting the following anti-ecos. For a brief moment it looked like MIBR would keep things competitive, going back and forth in the first few gunrounds, but cadiaN‘s team ran away with the map in the end despite chelo‘s best efforts seeing him reach a staggering 34 kills.

Mirage went more along the way the matchup was expected to from the start, as this time Heroic didn’t let MIBR get off to a good start and dominated the Brazilians from beginning to end. A 12-3 half on the CT side meant chelo‘s men would have little space to work with on their defense, and a pistol round going the way of the Danes sealed it shortly after.
