Crafting plays a big part in Dying Light 2, whether it’s a healing item or a weapon mod. But how do you do it?
There’s no two ways about it: you will need to craft, and regularly, while playing Dying Light 2. Thankfully it’s very easy to do. Unlike other games you don’t need to find a work bench or visit a certain point on the map to craft in Dying Light 2. Simply head to the right place in the menu, no matter where you are. And providing you have the required materials, you can craft anything right there on the spot.
To find the crafting menu, you’ll need to head to the main in-game menu. Press touchpad on PlayStation or the ‘view’ button on Xbox. From there, use your shoulder buttons to toggle over to ‘Crafting’. There, you’ll see a list of blueprints. Select the one you want and press A/X to craft one. Hold it down to craft more, or if you want to craft the maximum amount or something, press Y/triangle.

You can also craft straight from your quick select menus. If you want to craft a healing kit, for example, hold ‘up’ on the d-pad. In the radial menu that appears, you’ll see the option to craft more of your selected item by holding A.
Beware you’ll need the right amount of materials, so if you don’t have enough you’ll have to go scavenging. Some basic materials can also be purchased from vendors. New blueprints can also be bought from craftsman vendors, which you’ll find at bigger settlements. You’ll need a blueprint before you’re able to craft an item.
