Alakazam is one of the few Pokémon that can only be obtained through a trade evolution in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. This means you need to trade Kadabra to another trainer to evolve Kadabra into Alakazam. You will need to find someone you can trust to do this with.
Evolution items are a big part of the game now, in this modern era of Pokémon. There are tons of evolution stones and other items you need to hunt for, like the Reaper Cloth. One of the items you need to find to get the 400+ Dex filled is the Protector. This evolution item is used for a specific evolution, Rhyperior. There are both stat-boosting and evolution items you might want. You could also be hunting for the Electrizer, which is useful for getting Electabuzz.
How to Evolve Kadabra into Alakazam in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Once you have the Kadabra, you can then take it to the Union Room for a trade. ake the escalator up to the second floor of any Pokémon Center to visit the Union Room. This is where the trading section of the game takes place. Arrange with a friend, preferably one with another Trade evolution, and have them get online.
Once you’re both in the Union room and ready to trade, you can begin. You can enter an open Global Room, if you just want to go for any random battles or trades. To avoid getting scammed, it’s best to find a friend and use the Link Code system. You can also create a Local Room to connect with nearby friends or players via a local network.
The one catch is that you need an NSO sub if you plan to play online. Whatever method you pick, perform the trade and get your Pokémon back.
The process to evolve Kadabra into Alakazam should kick off after you finish the trade. If you traded for another trade evolution, this should happen for that one as well.
