How to find a player’s hot zones in NBA 2K22

In NBA 2K22, hot zones are something you really need to learn. Every player has them, and they’re very important to building and maintaining a balanced team. You want to use hot zones in NBA 2K22 to gauge where to best place shots from for each player. Your team should be designed around getting your best scorers into position to use these zones. Trying to take shots from neutral or even cold zones is hard, so players will miss from there more often.

So how do you find this info? It’s going to depend on the game mode. The basic process is to look at the player profile for the given player. This will vary by game mode somewhat. First, let’s talk about finding the screen you need in the roster. You will use this most of the time during normal play.

Start on the roster screen for your team to find the hot zones. You can then press R (for Xbox) or R3 (for PlayStation) to bring up the player details card. Scroll through the player card using RT/R2 to then bring up the relevant screen. Hot zones are shown in red, with cold shown in blue.

For MyCareer and similar modes, the process is a bit different.

When you’re in MyTeam, start on the card lineup screen, but do no press R/R3 to bring up the details screen. instead, you will see the hot zones right on the main lineup UI. Just scroll over the player you want to view, and look to the right. Once again you will need to use RT/R2 until you see the Hot Zone section.

MyCareer is the other mode where this is different. When in MyCareer, pause the game and scroll the tabs using RB/R1 until you find the tab with Stats listed underneath. Click Roster on the Stats screen and then you can use the normal Roster method to find it. Again, that’s press R (for Xbox) or R3 (for PlayStation) to bring up the player details card. Scroll through the player card using RT/R2 to then bring up the relevant screen.
