Dream Shards are an important resource in the game as you need them to advance the story. As Merlin tells you in the game, Dream Shards are gathered from removing the Night Thorns from around the village – the dark purple thorns that grow everywhere. Each time you remove one there’s a chance you will get an item. Usually, you get a single coin or something basic but sometimes you get Dream Shards .

However, as announced in an in-game mail today, Dream Shards are not dropping at the correct rate. Rather than address the problem, the developers have instead opted for a temporary fix by giving all players 25 Dream Shards. You can find these Dream Shards at your house in the village. Interact with the mailbox to claim your Dream Shard items.

SAVE THESE! Do not use them on anything but progressing through the story later otherwise there’s a good chance you’ll get stuck and not be able to progress.
