From Saitama Doomfist to Genos Genji, here’s how you can get all of Overwatch 2’s One Punch Man skins this week.

Blizzard Entertainment is bringing your favourite characters from the One Punch Man manga to Overwatch 2 in an unlikely crossover. The crossover begins tomorrow on March 8 and runs through April 6, bringing challenges, skins and more cosmetics themed after One Punch Man characters to the multiplayer game – some of which are free to earn. Here’s everything you need to know about the crossover:

What are the crossover skins?

In case you didn’t know, One Punch Man is an action-comedy manga about Saitama, an up-and-coming superhero with the incredible ability to defeat any opponent with a single punch. A few characters from the series are joining Overwatch 2 as skins, starting with Saitama himself as a Doomfist skin. The way Overwatch 2’s developers are incorporating these skins are a little different from other multiplayer games. Where games like Fortnite just plug in characters from other media, Overwatch 2’s crossovers just have its heroes cosplay as different characters. In this universe, Doomfist is just dressing up as his favourite superhero – despite being a villain himself.

Genos, the cyborg superhero who looks up to Saitama as a mentor, is also joining the game as a Genji skin. Kiriko is also getting a skin themed after Tatsumaki AKA the Terrible Tornado, a psychic who is frequently at odds with Saitama in the manga. Lastly, Soldier 76 is getting a Mumen Rider skin themed after the low-level but nonetheless hard-working hero who befriends Saitama.

Genos Genji, Terrible Tornado Kiriko and Saitama Doomfist will only be available as part of paid store bundles in the in-game shop, collected with other new One Punch Man cosmetics like weapon charms and victory poses. That means you’ll have to pay for these three skins, but you’ll get a small discount if you get all three character bundles together. However, there is some stuff you can get for free.

Well, what can I get for free then?

A few One Punch Man skins will be available as free rewards during this event, and they’re pretty easy to get compared to previous Overwatch 2 events. This time around, all you have to do is play games in the game’s Unranked, Competitive or Arcade game modes to earn up to six different rewards, including the Mumen Rider-Soldier: 76 skin. Here’s what you need to do to get these rewards:

  • 4 games played – Saitama’s Fist Weapon Charm
  • 8 games played – Mumen Rider Name Card
  • 12 games played – Cyclist of Justice Victory Pose for Soldier: 76
  • 16 games played – Justice Crash Highlight Intro for Soldier: 76
  • 20 games played – Boros Weapon Charm
  • 24 games played – Legendary Mumen Rider-Soldier: 76 skin

Overwatch 2’s developers will be hosting a Twitch stream on March 7 at 11 AM PT, following the crossover’s upcoming world premiere trailer. The trailer hasn’t gone live yet, but here’s an early link.
