Wondering how to use binoculars in Dying Light 2? Here’s what you need to know.
Introduced to you fairly early into your Dying Light 2 journey, the binoculars are a very useful tool. From a high vantage point you can look out at the world with them, and points of interest will be added to your map. It’s also useful for spotting enemy positions in a nearby enemy hideout for example, so it’s wise to use them before rushing in anywhere.
But how do you use binoculars in Dying Light 2? It’s easy: hold left on the d-pad to bring up a quick access wheel. From there, press in your right stick. You’ll then switch to binocular view. To exit out of it, press B/circle.

While in binoculars view, your pad will vibrate if you’re close to a landmark or point of interest. You’ll see a rectangular focus box on screen that gets smaller as you get closer to a point of interest. Move around with the left stick to get the focus point just right – it can sometimes be a bit fiddly! You’ll feel when the point is spot on, and a label will appear, announcing the discovered location. It’ll now also be available on your map.
