We’ve answered the question of whether or not Call of Duty (COD): Vanguard will feature crossplay.

Vanguard, the latest installment in the flagship military shooter Call of Duty, is set to go live on Nov. 5—and players still have a lot of questions. Some, of course, are about the gameplay and weapons they’ll be able to handle in-game. Others are more concerned with the game’s narrative and its characters. While Activision has given a bit of information on both of these topics, the main queries from players are pragmatic. Will the game feature cross play and/or cross progression?

COD is known for its massive multiplayer component, after all.

Yes, Call of Duty: Vanguard will support cross-play. Originally, the beta supported cross-play for those who pre-ordered the game, hinting that cross-play would be available for Vanguard players once the game launches on Nov. 5. So far, that appears to be accurate.

Players who purchase Vanguard will be able to take advantage of both cross-play—playing with others across the platform divide—and cross-generational play. Not only will it not matter whether someone is on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC, their console generation also won’t factor in, either.

Essentially: if you’ve got Vanguard, you can play with pretty much anyone else who has it.

Sledgehammer Games has also implemented cross-progression into vanguard, as well. Players can start their session on one platform, hop to another, and keep all their stats and progress intact.

Vanguard is available on the PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series S|X, and PC.
